Orte rechter Gewalt
Philipp Böll – Orte rechter Gewalt
4th of April 2016, Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. Mehmet Kubasik was shot several times and died in broad daylight in his kiosk. The three times father died of his injuries. It was not until november 2011 before the perpetrators Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Böhnhardt could have been investigated. The self-exposure of the right-wing extremist group NSU hints at the long-standing failure of the prosecution and security authorities, who never investigated in a right-wing motivated crime. Beate Zschäpe, the third member of the NSU, remains silent to the crimes till today.
Philipp Böll takes pictures of locations of right-wing extremist violence. The crime scenes show places where people were murdered due to right-wing extremist assaults in Germany since the reunification in 1990.
